Canada’s Leading BioInnovation Centre for Scaling Advanced Manufacturing

We help companies harness the smallest forms of life to solve the planet’s biggest challenges — creating a place in Canada biotech companies scale, commercialize, and lead globally.

What we do

We provide large-scale biomanufacturing infrastructure and the innovation hub that biotech companies need to scale and commercialize their products from Canada.

Why Canada Needs a Large-Scale Biomanufacturing Hub

Canada has incredible innovators with world-changing ideas, yet too many are forced to leave because the scale-up infrastructure they need simply doesn’t exist here. Neptune BioInnovation was created to change that — giving Canadian and International biotech companies a place to scale manufacturing, keep talent and ideas rooted in Canada, and position the country as a leader in the growing global bio-economy. By anchoring innovation at home, we accelerate the sustainable solutions our planet urgently needs.

Why Nova Scotia is the Ideal Location

Nova Scotia is an ideal home for the Neptune BioInnovation Centre, with a fast‑growing bioinnovation ecosystem supported by more than 100 life sciences and clean‑technology companies. Anchored by organizations such as Dalhousie University, the Verschuren Centre and Invest Nova Scotia, the province offers deep research strength, strong commercialization support, and the talent and infrastructure needed to help scale world‑class biomanufacturing.

Core Capabilities

Neptune BioInnovation Centre is in the process of being built out to deliver on its full promise as Canada’s first large‑scale biomanufacturing hub. Some resources are already available today, while others will come online in the near future. We look forward to working with companies through this journey — tailoring support, sharing infrastructure as it grows, and exploring how we can partner to accelerate your scale‑up and commercialization success.
